In fact, ACE has been coined 'The theory of everything', because it is an accurate predictor of chronic health issues in adult life. So in today's world, if you are not operating a 'trauma informed' practice you are running an old model of dealing with 'surface symptoms'.

- Individuals who had faced 4 or more categories of ACEs were twice as likely to be diagnosed with cancer or other chronic health condition.
- For each ACE Score a woman had, her risk of being hospitalised with an autoimmune disease rose by 20%.
- Someone with an ACE Score of 4 was 460% more likely to suffer from depression than someone with an ACE Score of 0.
- An ACE Score greater than or equal to 6 shortened an individual’s lifespan by almost 20 years
